Active Ageing

Clients are aged between 55 and 64 years when they start their Active Ageing Program (or aged between 45 and 64 years with early onset ageing or Aboriginal and aged between 40 and 64 years with early onset ageing or requiring specialised service provision).

Those eligible are older adults who are not undertaking full time paid employment or full time vocational or higher education (a person working or studying part time is still eligible, however places are prioritised on need and circumstances). Or those with early onset ageing who fall into the correct age grouping.

This funding was developed to provide contemporary learning and skills development activities within a range of supports for adults with a disability, using a person-centred approach.
