Open Arms Care Inc. provides local auspice for management, planning and support to Action Support, Neighbour Aid, BUD’s Toys, Special Needs In Bellingen Shire, Bellingen Shire Family Day Care Scheme, Mid-North Coast OOSH Services and Bellingen Shire Meals On Wheels.
The OAC Inc. is a not-for-profit, community based body. The Board (the office bearing members of the association) is comprised of community and service user representatives, who meet regularly, and are responsible for the running of the services OAC Inc. receives funding for. The OAC Inc provides each service with management and administrative support. The NSW State Department of Ageing, Disability & Home Care (DADHC), NSW Department of Community Services (DoCS), NSW Department of Education and Training (DET) and the Federal Departments of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) and Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) provide funding for the various services and hold the OAC Inc responsible for ensuring that all services adhere to current funding guidelines and relevant quality standards.

To be a quality organisation providing coordinated and integrated services assisting the development of people who are frail aged, people with disabilities, children and families. Open Arms Care Inc. will be financially sustainable and recognised as a respected regional provider of human services.

National Meals on Wheels Day
National Meals on Wheels Day is the 25th August 2010. Open Arms Care Meals on Wheels is giving every client on our data base a vouchure to redeem a free omlettte. You just present your vouchure at 4 Rawson Street Bellingen and you will get your omlette. Office hours to redeem you omlette are: 10am till 2.00pm Monday to Thursday and 10.00am till 12 noon Friday. PREAMBLE The Excursion Policy is being reviewed to reflect the requirements of the new national standards and the need to safe guard educators and the scheme as well as meeting regulations for risk management. The parents will need to sign a form for any type of outing outside the carer’s home and carers will need to complete a risk management assessment of all outings and venues.
