What Does Open Arms Care Inc Do?
Formed in 2008 from the amalgamation of three smaller entities; Open Arms Care Inc. is a significant not-for-profit Association which provides community services to families on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. Founded in Bellingen, Open Arms Care currently operates programs in Bellingen, Urunga, Dorrigo, Nambucca Heads, Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas.
Open Arms Care provides a wide range of services benefiting the whole community.
Family Day Care offers early childhood education in a nurturing homebased environment. Our educators cater for the needs of children aged 0-5 years old to enable parents to continue to work or study while providing the best care, education and development to their children.
Out of School Hours Care caters for children aged 5-11 years. Out of School Hours Care includes before and after school care and vacation care. Available in two locations, Bellingen located at St Marys Primary School and Urunga at Urunga Public School. The Out of School Hours Care Programs are designed to challenge children’s curiosity, inspire self-confidence and self-esteem, build social skills through group activities and interactions.
Ageing Services provide a variety of services to over 65’s or over 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Our programs are designed to provide support that assists people to remain living independently in their own home taking into account each person’s individual goals, preferences and choices with a strong emphasis on wellness and reablement. Our Commonwealth Home Support Program services include Meals on Wheels, Other Food Services, Domestic Assistance, Social Support Individual and Flexible Respite.
